Get to Know Dalia Georgy, DDS
Ever since she can remember, Dr. Georgy has enjoyed working with her hands and being able to beautify things or put them back together. Coming from a family rooted in the healthcare field, she eventually realized that dentistry combined her desire to heal with the importance of manual dexterity – and the rest is history! Today, she is thrilled to care for patients from all walks of life here at 918 Dentist of Glenpool, especially children. Seeing the kids smiling so big after finishing their orthodontic treatment is one of her favorite parts of this job. If you’d like to learn more about her, just keep reading below.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Georgy graduated from the University of Tulsa with her degree in biochemistry. She then entered the University of Oklahoma’s College of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery – in fact, she graduated first in her class! She also received special honors in pediatric dentistry and the highest number of awards available to dental students. As part of her overall education and training, she completed externships at the Oklahoma Veterans Affairs Clinic, as well as in private practice.
What Kind of Advanced Dental Training Do You Have?
Dr. Georgy is always in pursuit of new learning opportunities and state-of-the-art training. She has completed continuing education courses in orthodontics, Invisalign, sedation dentistry, and even mini dental implants with IMTEC Sendax. She is a graduate of the Gerety Orthodontic Seminars and The F.O.R.C.E, as well as the International Comprehensive Orthodontic Program. She is currently a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association, and the American Orthodontic Society.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Georgy has been married to Dr. Mohanna, the love of her life, for nearly 10 years, and they have two beautiful boys named Danny and Tony and two adorable Beagles named Poka and Skye. In her spare time, she always enjoys hanging out with her kids and husband, especially when they play outside or compete in board games. Other hobbies include going to the beach, doing various “outdoorsy” things, and enjoying thrill rides at amusement parks. She also LOVES to dance and particularly enjoys the Argentine tango, East Coast Swing, ballroom, and salsa.
